Dr. Fraser Davidson
Dr. Fraser Davidson – Bachelor of Veterinary Science, President of the Society of BC Veterinarians

I moved to New Zealand in 2000 to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian.  I graduated with a degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) from Massey University in 2005.  I remained in New Zealand for two years which gave me a vast amount of experience working with large animals.  This unquestionably helped me realize that my real passion is in small animal veterinary work!  In 2007, I moved to the UK where I chose to do Veterinary locums in London and throughout other areas of the UK which exposed me to many different practices and learning opportunities. I brought back all of these experiences to Vancouver in 2010 where I went on to own two veterinary practices (Point Grey and Acadia).

Creating and owning this Sea to Sky clinic has been the culmination of my veterinary dream! Our family – my wife, two young children and eleven animals have considered Squamish as our “forever home” since we moved here in 2017.  We are thrilled to be a permanent part of this vibrant community, and as a veterinarian, I look forward to becoming a part of your life, and the lives of your animals.

Having been born and raised in Vancouver and spending most of my life in the Sea to Sky Corridor, it is a privilege to be servicing this community as your local Veterinarian.

Dr. Jackie Lougheed – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Sea to Sky Veterinary Clinic is delighted to have Dr. Jackie Lougheed back in Squamish and joining our team. Originally from Ontario, Dr. Jackie’s love of the mountains has helped make BC her new home. She attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she completed her Bachelor of Science. After graduation Jackie enjoyed the wonderful experience of being an intern dolphin trainer on the Big Island in Hawaii.

She then went on to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Veterinary College of Ireland in Dublin in 2014. She has a special interest in surgery and practicing preventative medicine. Outside of work Jackie enjoys skiing, biking, surfing and spending time with Angus, her 7-year-old rescue cat.

Dr. Briony Sturgess – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Briony was born and raised in Vancouver but has called Squamish home for the last 10 years. She earned her BSc from UBC and after completing her Veterinary degree at the University of Saskatchewan she found her way to Squamish where she’s been developing relationships with the sea to sky’s pets ever since. Outside of work you will find her trail running, mountain biking, hiking and skiing or just trying to keep up with her 6 year old son. She also has a 13 year old street dog named Sitka and a 7 year old boxer named Talus that keep her busy.

Dr. Jeanne Lapointe – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Jeanne was born and raised in Montréal.  She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montréal in 2019. Her first 3.5 years of practice were spent in the Lower Saint-Lawrence valley and the Magdalene Islands, working with both small and big animals.  For the past year, she has been working with a small animal practice in the Laurentians, north of Montréal. Within Veterinary medicine, Jeanne has a passion for surgery. Outside of work. she enjoys travelling and the great outdoors.  Jeanne is trilingual, speaking French and English, as well as Spanish (thanks to a year living in Mexico and Central America).

Veterinary Technicians

Tanya – Veterinary Technician

Tanya is an Ontario native who spent her middle school years in England and Greece. She returned to Ontario at 14, then at 16, she started working as an assistant at a local vet clinic where she was introduced to the career of a Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 1996 from Ridgetown College and spent 20 years following the specialty/critical care path, including obtaining her Technician Specialty in Internal Medicine in 2008 (since retired).

In 2016 she decided to take a break. Being a beer nerd she decided to try a different career path – brewing! Working her way up to Lead Brewer/Production Manager at Coast Mountain Brewing in Whistler.

She is excited to return to Veterinary Medicine and meet the people and pets in her Squamish community. In her free time, you can find her on the bike trails, in the bike park and hanging out with her dog Wicket.

Naomi – Veterinary Nurse

Originally from Scotland, Naomi came to Whistler in 2012 to ski and quickly fell in love with the Sea to Sky area. After a couple of years she and her future husband moved back to the UK, then to Australia where she retrained as a veterinary nurse. They now call Squamish home along with their pup Schooner, cat Gerald and a couple of chickens! When she is not at work Naomi loves exploring the mountains and can usually be found trail running, skiing or mountain biking.

Lisa – Registered Veterinary Technician

In 2007 she started an after school job at a small animal vet clinic as an assistant and then went on to take her Veterinary Technician Diploma at Thompson Rivers University and graduated in 2011. Since then, she has been working as a Registered Vet Tech with many different animals including exotics/pocket pets, dogs, cats and farm animals.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoy’s hiking the trails, powerlifting, or spending time with her Corgi mix “Tater Tot”. She also has a horse named “Junior” who’s now retired from Rodeo/Barrel Racing that lives back home along with the rest of the farm family.
